Method
- Period: the 2022-2026 council term, 15 November 2022 to today. Only communications addressed to a member of council or their staff are counted ("council offices").
- The headline compares members of council (not the Mayor) who served at least 90% of the term so far, so members elected in by-elections are not compared on fewer days. The table lists everyone, with a rate per 100 days in office.
- Downtown wards see more development applications, and committee chairs and members see more of the items before their committees; both raise an office's count.
Limitations
- Counts are communications lobbyists recorded in the City of Toronto Lobbyist Registry. Contacts that were not registered are not counted.
- A communication counts toward a council office when the registry names the member or a member of their staff; lobbyTO resolves those names to members.
- A recorded contact shows that a lobbyist reached an office. It does not show what was said, or how the member voted or acted afterwards.
